How JDM Everafter uses and protects your personal information.
Who we are
JDM Everafter is a destination wedding and honeymoon brand of JDM Travel Co, an independent travel agency based in Shropshire, England. For this website, JDM Travel Co is the data controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@jdmtravel.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use one of our forms we collect the details you choose to give us. The short enquiry and contact forms ask for your names, email address, phone number (optional), a message or preferred destination and an approximate date. The full planning form may also ask for alternative destinations, flexibility on dates, guest and child numbers, preferred UK departure airports, an approximate budget, wedding style, accommodation needs, whether you want a honeymoon and anything else you tell us about your plans. Please do not send sensitive information such as health details or passport numbers through these forms.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare suggestions and quotes, and plan and manage any trip you choose to book. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. If you book, we will also use your information to perform our contract with you and to meet our legal obligations. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
Our forms are delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which acts as our processor and forwards your submission to our email inbox. If you go ahead with a booking, we share the details needed with the travel and wedding suppliers involved, such as airlines, hotels, venues and transfer providers, so they can provide your arrangements. Some of these suppliers may be outside the UK; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards required by law. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
If you make an enquiry but do not book, we keep your details for up to two years so we can pick up your plans if you come back to us, then delete them. If you book, we keep booking records for as long as we need to for legal, accounting and insurance purposes, typically up to seven years after your trip.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred to you or another organisation. To use any of these rights, email hello@jdmtravel.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Cookies
This preview site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
