When to marry

May to October is the main season, with peak heat in July and August.

Ceremony & paperwork

Foreign couples may be able to marry legally in Turkey through a municipal marriage office, with documents such as a certificate of capacity to marry, passports, photographs and a health report, translated and certified as required. Many UK couples choose a symbolic ceremony instead. Requirements can change, so check current rules with the local municipality before booking.
